2016 Great American River Cleanup
Once again, members of Dolphin Divers of Sacramento, The Seahorses, A.I.M, and other concerned citizens will float and dive down the American River to clean up the mess left my others. On September 17th, we will get together and pull up as much trash as we can find. Cans, bottles, plastic, and other kinds of junk will be pulled from the water and disposed of at the end of the trip. Of course, there will be some treasures found along the way. Wallets, phones, cameras, watches, rings, and lots of other valuables will be found. We always find a couple phones and cameras that still work.
Over the years, this event has become quite large. The last two years have produced almost a ton of garbage. We hope to keep up the good work this year. We have 10 boats donated to us and can handle up to 50 divers and handlers. If you are interested in attending this event let me know so I can get you on the list. Yes, same as last year, you need to let me know if you want to attend. So, send me an email or leave me a phone message, but get on the list.
More information to follow as we get closer to the event date.
