Our annual Channel Islands trip is just around the corner. If you need to rent any equipment for the trip, Mike Johnson at Dolphin Scuba will give our members the 1-day rental rate for the entire trip. If you do not have a dive computer, I suggest that you get one. You will be making multiple dives each day and a dive computer gives you a superior dive profile over the dive tables. Dolphin has them for rental or purchase. You can go to the Dolphin Rental department. Dave Whiteside will be at our meeting on Wednesday with copies of the rental rates if you would rather do that. You should reserve your equipment soon! Do not wait until the last minute. You might be out of luck.
If you have not been in the water recently and want to brush up on your skills…..or just want to check out our equipment before the C.I. trip, come join us on July 12 for an evening of pool time. Starting at 7:30 pm, a group of us will be at the Swimstitute (11335-B Folsom Blvd, Rancho Cordova, CA ). Scuba practice time starts at 8 pm and you can stay until 9:30 pm. The cost is $12 per person. We do this every year and each time someone discovers an issue with their equipment. If you do have a regulator that malfunctions or a wetsuit that has shrunk, you still have time to get to Dolphin Scuba to take care of your problem. Mike Johnson will put a rush on any repairs. Don’t wait until your first dive to find out that your regulator free flows or your dive computer batteries are dead. Get it taken care of before the dive.
If you have any questions about the swim time on July 12th, you can see me at the meeting on Wednesday or send me an email.
