What does it mean to be a member of Dolphin Divers of Sacramento?
Membership privileges include eligibility to participate in all club activities. Non-club members may participate in any two of our unsubsidized activities, after which time they must join in order to continue enjoying membership privileges. Unless other wise stated, events and contests for which we award prizes are limited to paid members only. Other privileges include:
- Subscription to the monthly newsletter “Current Bubbles”
- Free air fills and discounts at participating dive shops
- Participation in raffles and drawings at Club events
- Participating in annual contests:
* Spear Fishing contest at Memorial Day
* Biggest Abalone (when ab hunting is available)
* Biggest Fish
* Photo Contest
* Cooking contests at Labor Day
- Special rates for Club events and trips
- Member of the Year Voting
- Board Member Elections
- Becoming a Board Member
Q: What does it cost to become a member of Dolphin Divers of Sacramento?
A: Membership year starts April 1st. Annual dues are $35 for a primary membership and $45 for a family membership. Dues paid for new members after November 1st will be applied to the following membership year.
Q: Where and when are your meetings held?
A: General meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Round Table Pizza located in Folsom between Madison and Greenback, 9500 Greenback Lane (where Madison and Greenback meet) Folsom, CA (916) 989-1133. The starting time for meetings is at 7:00 PM. Most people come early to socialize with other members and to have some dinner. The meetings usually last approximately 1-1.5 hours depending on the Guest Speaker
Q: If I become a member, do I have to attend all meetings?
A: Although we encourage frequent attendance to monthly meetings so that you have the opportunity to meet other members and hear about upcoming events, you can come to as many or as few meetings as you want.
Anyone may also attend Board Meetings if they want to know more about how the Club is run or are interested in becoming Board Members. Board Meetings are held at a Board Member’s house on the First Wednesday of the month. Check the Current Bubbles for the location of the next meeting.
Q: Great! So how do I become a member?
A: There are two options to join. 1) Click the link at the top of the page to download the Membership Application. Fill it out and either bring it to the next General Meeting or send it to the following address: PO Box 112, Orangevale, CA 95662. Be sure to include your check for either $35 (individual membership) or $45 (family membership) made payable to: Dolphin Divers of Sacramento. 2) click on the link above and scroll down to complete the online form. Once you click “Submit” you will be redirected to our Square payment page where you can pay via credit card.
