Pool Time!
As we close in on our annual trip to the wonderful Channel Islands, we have scheduled some pool time at the Swimstitute (the old Hudson Family Dive Center). You can use the time to refresh your skills, check out your equipment, and just have some fun. If you find something not quite right with your computer, mask strap, or some other piece of equipment, you still have time to run down to Dolphin Scuba and get it fixed. Every trip, someone forgets to check out their stuff and has to beg, borrow, trade, or steal a strap, clip or something else. BC oral inflator hose has a leak. Fin strap is cracked and ready to break. Goodie bag has a big hole in it. Computer batteries are low or dead. All have happened on the boat……not the place to deal with it. Take the time to get your stuff checked out now! Come to the pool and find out what works and what is broken.
Make sure that your wetsuit has not shrunk. Your weight belt strap is too small. Your intergrated BCD pockets work. Your mask strap is not broken. All YOUR stuff and YOUR responsibility. Does your tank need a VIP? Is the oring in good condition? Finding out that you have a problem after we get to the first dive location is no fun for you.
July 13, 2018 (a Friday) is the date and the Swimstitute is the place. We will start at 7 pm and go until 8:30 if needed. There is a $15 dollar per person fee. The water is warm enough that you do not need a wetsuit but you might want to make sure that your it still fits. The address is 11335 Folsom Blvd. They have locker room facilities, showers, and a LARGE heated pool!
There are still a few spots open on the Channel Islands trip if you are interested. Still time to get on the boat with the rest of the group. You cannot beat the deal.
